2017 Annual Open House

Fire Prevention Week 2017 is October 8-14 and the theme is:

Every Second Counts, Plan 2 Ways Out!

Station 28 will be holding our annual Open House on Saturday October 7th from 12pm – 3pm. We will focus on how you can create a home fire escape plan, but we will also have games and gifts for kids, food, and our members will be available to answer any other questions you may have.

Bring the entire family down for some fun and education.

Santa Tour 2016

Once again our officers have talked with Santa and will be bringing him around town with a Fire Truck escort. Santa will also be at our station on Saturday 12/17 around 8pm for pictures and a small gift for all those good boys and girls. Santa has also asked us to help those in need by giving him canned food that will be donated to the Franklin Township Food Bank.

Hope to see you all on 12/17 in Wildflower Ridge around 3pm and 12/17 in East Millstone / Millstone Boro area at 6pm.

Join us on Saturday, December 3rd @ 7pm for our annual town square tree lighting ceremony. We will sing a few songs, drink hot coco, and start the holiday season off with friends and neighbors.

And mark in your calendar December 17th, as we will be escorting Santa around town before he returns to the firehouse for pictures and small gifts.

Bring the entire family down for some fun and education, and don’t forget to visit our neighbors at Canal Fest taking place on Market St.

Station 28 will be holding our annual Open House on Saturday October 17th from 11am – 4pm. Open House 2015

PRESS RELEASE FOR KYLE SCHEUERMAN

(Somerset, NJ) – On Friday, July 31 2015 at approximately 21:40 hours, Kyle Scheuerman left the Millstone Valley Fire Department on a motorcycle.  After not returning within a few minutes, several members began a local search for him until the early morning hours of August 1, 2015.  As the search resumed in the later morning of the 1st, we received notification that a single motorcyclist was found down on Millstone River Rd.  This motorcyclist was later identified as missing firefighter Kyle Scheuerman.

Our department would like to express our sincere gratitude for all those that have reached out to us and the Scheuerman family during this difficult time.  As we prepare to remember Kyle, we’re providing the service details below for all those who would like to join us.  I have also identified several areas that we could use some assistance.  If anyone can provide assistance in these areas, or require more information, please contact me.

Fire Department Assistance needed;

Our department will be posting guard during the entire viewing times.  Help is needed at any time during those hours.  Each guard will be a 15 minute detail.

The family has requested a Fire Department procession from the church to the memorial park.  Please advise if your department will participate and how many apparatus you expect to attend.

Our department will begin preparation of our apparatus and station for the funeral services on Tuesday 8/4 at 1900hrs any assistance with the tasks would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking for companies to standby in our station on Thursday and Friday, times are TBD.

Firefighter Kyle Scheuerman passes

It is with deep regret that we have to announce the passing of Firefighter Kyle Scheuerman.  Kyle succumbed  to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Friday evening.  No further information is available at this time.

We will post more information as soon as it becomes available.

Annual Village-wide Yard Sale

East Millstone Yard Sale 2015

Get your unwanted items ready as the Millstone Valley Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be sponsoring their annual Village Yard Sale.  The 2 day event will take place on June 6th and June 7th Rain or Shine.  We encourage you to register early at the discounted fee of $10 ($20 the day of).
