On Tuesday 9/10/24 around 3:45 pm Station 28 was dispatched for our brush truck into Hillsborough Township for a large brush fire on Amwell Rd. Brush 28 and Ranger 28-1 responded and after arriving was immediately tasked with using the booster reels off of them for fire suppression. Due to the large area of brush and logs that were on fire the crew was eventually switched to man two 2.5in hand lines to help contain and wet the area down. Our members assisted Hillsborough and surrounding companies for over 4 hours until the fire was placed under control. Great work by all! #100%Volunteer #millstonevalley #mutualaid ... Who is your chief. Bless him.

Deputy 28 and Squad 28 responded to this incident and stood by for a short time as interior crews finished opening up and checking for extension. We were cleared soon after. Another great stop by Hillsborough Township companies! ... See MoreSee Less

With the impending heavy rainfall from hurricane debby, flooding is a great risk in a lot of areas. Please remember to turn around and avoid high water, even if it looks low enough to cross, it can be much higher. Stay safe everyone! ... See MoreSee Less

On 7/21/24 at 6:30 pm our Deputy Chief , Squad and Air responded into Hillsborough Township for the first alarm structure fire. Upon arrival of the Deputy Chief and Squad 28 , command asked for half the crew to head inside to the basement to assist while companies were still getting on scene. Two of our members assisted with fire attack, checking the ceiling for hot spots and getting the basement ventilated using the hose line. Once more companies arrived the two members joined back up with RIT. Air 28 arrived with more members to supplement the crew.

Once the fire was confirmed out a few of our members were asked to go to the back and assist with overhaul on the outside of the house. Around 8:45 we were clear and returning to town. Great work by the Hillsborough companies and a thank you to our members that could make it out to assist. #millstonevalley #mutualaid

Last night around 9:30pm our weekand duty crew responded with Station 56 Somerset Fire and Rescue to 1135 Easton Ave for an MVC with confirmed entrapment, Deputy Chief, Squad and Air 28 made the response and when arriving crews split up to stretch the bumper line off the Squad as a precautionary measure while Rescue 56 continued with extrication. The patient was removed quickly and transferred over to EMS, we remained on scene to assist with containing fluid spills from the crash and awaited the tow service to remove the vehicles. We were cleared an hour later, great work! #millstonevalley #MVC ... See MoreSee Less

Thank god I didn't see Kevin Lowry after that call. Lol . Good job by all.

On 7/18/24 a few of our members took a ride over to the Franklin Highschool with our Drones and Air truck to help show the Youth Police Acedamy students what it’s like working with different Fire Departments and their resources. Stations 44 @middlebushfire and 56 @svfrc1 were also in attendance.

The students were split into groups and visited each stations apparatus and what they have to offer depending on the situation. Our station demonstrated the drones and some of the capabilities that they have. We were able to get 2 drones in the air and the students had an up close look at our setup in the trailer and what everything looks like from the drones perspective. Our members had a great time and are always happy to assist and offer ways we can help! Thanks again Franklin PD @ftpd_somersetnj for inviting us out! #MillstoneValley #dronedemonstration
