Here’s a couple of events that rounded out the end of September!

On September 20th Our ladies auxiliary hosted their 29th annual tricky tray! Members and their families took part in checking tickets and running over 300 baskets to the lucky winners, the ladies did a wonderful job as always and put a lot of hard work and time into getting everything ready. It was a great turn out with over 200 people! Thank you to the firefighters that came out to help the ladies on that busy day!

On September 26th around 3:00 pm our Large Fan was requested into North Brunswick for the CO incident in a warehouse, Utility 28 with the fan arrived to assist North Brunswick Firefighters and Middlesex County Hazmat with ventilating the building. After an hour on scene we were released.

On September 28th members from Our Station and Somerset County Hazmat met up to get a demonstration on tanker trucks that carry fuel. Members were shown different parts of the truck and where shut off valves are while also getting a general idea of how they are set up. This kind of information helps our members gain a better understanding when assisting other companies in emergency situations. Thank you to the company for coming out to demonstrate!

Finally, a general reminder that our open house is THIS Saturday! Weather is supposed to be beautiful this year so we hope to see everyone there! Look back on our previous post for more details! #MillstoneValley #keepinbusy

On Tuesday 9/10/24 around 3:45 pm Station 28 was dispatched for our brush truck into Hillsborough Township for a large brush fire on Amwell Rd. Brush 28 and Ranger 28-1 responded and after arriving was immediately tasked with using the booster reels off of them for fire suppression. Due to the large area of brush and logs that were on fire the crew was eventually switched to man two 2.5in hand lines to help contain and wet the area down. Our members assisted Hillsborough and surrounding companies for over 4 hours until the fire was placed under control. Great work by all! #100%Volunteer #millstonevalley #mutualaid ...
